With news of Facebook Inc. filing for an initial public offering (IPO), putting company on track for one of the biggest U.S. stock-market debuts of all time, it has left many folks wondering about the prospective growth of the company and how the changes might affect current membership, advertising and investments.

Two targeted surveys were commissioned by Maven looked into these issues in a bit more depth, asking financial experts and social media marketers qualitative questions on their current feelings about the IPO and future predictions.

Financial experts — venture capitalists, angel investors, private equity professionals, public equity asset managers, and investment bankers — provided insight to help gauge their sentiment with the IPO, including their expectations for the performance of the Facebook stock and whether or not they plan to participate in the IPO.
